More quilters! My mother & sister from Wisc joined me for an October weekend at Madronita. We've met annually in the Puget Sound area for several years but this place is special-quiet country roads, stunning views across the bay of Mt. Rainier, and evenings with a warm wood fire in the stove. We've found the perfect retreat and look forward to coming back!

Sisters - one a quilter from Spokane and the other an apprentice quilter from Renton - met for their annual summer retreat. We finished a quilt top that will be sent to an orphanage in Honduras. Along with visiting, reading, shopping in Shelton, Gig Harbor and Poulsbo, attending a concert in the Barn at Quilcene and playing a vicious series of King's Corners, we enjoyed the mountain and bay, the sunny mornings and cool evenings. We leave refreshed with fond memories of a beautiful place and hopefully a return trip."

Sitting in the corner of the deck brought out the best in everyone - long conversations and meaningful - full of laughter & love. Down to the minutest of detail - all was beautiful and charming - each day I would notice something of quality - like the cactus etching on the glasses. We do not want to leave - from the evenings with lights flickering in Tacoma to mornings looking for Rainer - it was a delight. Thank you & thank Becky.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay here at Beachwood! This was the perfect setting and accomodation for our family retreat! The decor and facilities were very much appreciated, fabulous job! Thank you so much for sharing this piece of paradise. It was a relaxing and beautiful place for our holiday. The view and landscaping are breathtaking. I think we commented on them everyday we were here. Currently our family is living in South Korea, so we only get a chance to enjoy the Northwest once a year. This is definately how we prefer to spend our family time with your gorgeous home and view! Maybe we can make this an annual event! Thank you again!

What a beautiful job you've done here! I loved the eclectic interior. I had a great time exploring the beautiful homes themselves and marveling at the beautiful antiques. Of course, the view was breathtaking... My two boys had a fabulous time playing on the beach paddling with the floaties and learning how th kayak. We had so much fun!

We came here for a five night family retreat visiting both houses. My daughter-law's first words to me: "this place is awesome!" As the "Patriarch", it exceeded my expectations: faithful restoration, beautiful landscaping, cozy interiors, fabulous water & mountain view, etc. A more wonderful spot for a family reunion can't be found I'm sure. Even though we had a mixture of overcast days and sunshine, we made good use of every day and had a truly memorable family retreat. Even though we live directly across the water in Steilacoom. We would love to return another day! We will spread the word!

Just returned from this beautiful home. My family and I was visiting my nephew, who lives about 20 mins away. This was perfect, a joy to stay at. Both Becky and Colleen were wonderful and very helpful. We hope in a few years to return. Next time during warmer weather so we can enjoy the bay.

The warmest of welcomes from Becky the housekeeper and lots of great tips about where to go and what to see. The most incredible views over the bay and of Rainier. Everything a family of 5 could need. Loved the kayak and having the beach so accessible. Spent a lot of time on the deck soaking in the tranquility.......
