Extracts from Guest Book:

"Sisters - one a quilter from Spokane and the other an apprentice quilter from Renton - met for their annual summer retreat. We finished a quilt top that will be sent to an orphanage in Honduras. Along with visiting, reading, shopping in Shelton, Gig Harbor and Poulsbo, attending a concert in the Barn at Quilcene and playing a vicious series of King's Corners, we enjoyed the mountain and bay, the sunny mornings and cool evenings. We leave refreshed with fond memories of a beautiful place and hopefully a return trip.

Beachwood

Beachwood is special. This classic cabin is for ‘easy-living.’ Come to Beachwood and write that book or maybe just get around to doing some of that reading you have been promising yourself.

Perched high on the banking over the water, they don’t build them like this now because they can’t. Beachwood is “grandfathered in” and is a reminder of just why this area was opened up over 100 years ago as a vacation location.

The cabin has 2 double bedrooms (queen size beds) and 2 bathrooms. A living room with wood burning stove, kitchen and wraparound porch with the best views to be had of Mt Rainier of any house in the Filucy Bay area. A utility room with washer and dryer is in the basement. Cozy in cooler months but in summer you can throw open the doors to the smell of cedars and sound of the bay.

You are going to make this place yours. There is a fire-pit, two kayaks (double and single) and stairs to the beach. So just come sit, socialize or explore.

Adjacent to Madronita, Beachwood is quite separate but can they work very well together as a rental for larger parties.
